No, I don't think this has been a share selling scam. Quite the opposite of awarding himself shares and selling them, PQ has kept all the (excessive number of) shares he has awarded himself and not sold any significant amount (if any). Not only that, he has put at least $5M of his own money into the company. He is fully invested in the success of this company. Unfortunately, his ego at least until now has been even bigger than his investment.

I agree that the company has been poorly run. We have all been clamoring for years for experienced management to come in and take over. Finally, it looks like that will happen as PQ's options run out. And the gold and silver are still in the mountain.

Yes, I remember meeting you at the SHM, and you clambering up the ore pile in Silver City. While the promise of what we saw at the mill has yet to be fulfilled, I think it will happen. And I certainly won't criticize you for getting out after years of "promises". I certainly wish I had played this a bit differently, so I'm the last one to criticize someone else's trading and investment decisions. But I do hope you continue to monitor the situation, and maybe hop aboard the train when it finally does leave the station. It would be nice to have you on board.
