Reasons for owning Silver Standard

I wonder if anyone would mind briefly setting out an investment case for owning this stock? It seems cheap on a market cap per ounce basis and due to its size it appears to be a more secure investment than some of the smaller silver exploration companies.
I'm tempted to open a position. Surely it has the potential to be a huge producer in the not too distant future?
