on friday, ssri closed at 10.25, while sso closed at 13.23. using the exchange rate of us$1 = c$1.236, the toronto figure works out to $10.70. this is 45 cents more than the nasdaq close. perhaps this was some kind of window dressing because friday was the last day of the month, but i don't remember it happening before. more often than not, the stock gets pushed down at the close. one way or another the gap will be closed, so either the stock will be weak in canada tomorrow, or stong in the us.
