Silver Standard Resources Inc.: San Agustin Option Expires

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 11, 2009) - Silver Standard Resources Inc. (TSX:SSO)(NASDAQ:SSRI) reports that Geologix Explorations Inc. has elected not to exercise its option to acquire a 100% interest in the San Agustin property.

The San Agustin property is located 85 kilometers north of Durango City in Durango, Mexico, and is prospective for precious and base metal mineralization.
