Message: Re: What are the chances SSO will sell Snowfield Brucejack?

the sale of snowfield/brucejack is something that i would expect to occur as part of a deal with seabridge gold. together they have well over 50 million ounces, so a major would probably want to buy the ksm project at the same time for the economies of scale. but the grades are relatively low, and the capital costs will run into the billions, so i think it will take a higher gold price for that to happen.

under the old management, silver standard was committed to remaining a silver company, and the gold assets would have been monetized, or possibly developed as a joint venture. with a new ceo, things could be different. but the cost of bringing snowfield/brucejack into production are beyond silver standard's means, and san luis and pitarrilla are the next ones in the pipeline for development.
