I don't know how a fairness opinion can be generated for this transaction as there is a massive increase in the resources currently being generated by the evaluation of the 2010 drilling. Pretium appears to be getting the farm for the price of a bale of hay. The tentative closing date for the IPO and the transaction is for Dec 2010. I understand Silver Standards thirst for cash but isn't there anything else to sell and why now? The conference call on Nov 5, should allow some clarity provided the right questions get asked. If they were only selling Snowfield (equivalent to the Mitchell resource of Seabridge) and hanging on to Brucejack I could see some sense, but to sell the entire prospective development seems un-necessary. I hope there are some second thoughts at the board level.
