Cooky, I know what you mean. A homeowner in town wanted to install a wind turbine on his property but it was disallowed because neighbors thought it would be an eyesore. Planning board agreed with the objection. Personally I think the gas backup generators THEY all have attached to their houses are unattractive. I actually like how wind turbines look. Beauty in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I'd like to have all the phone and power lines underground because they are ugly. I'm tired of government telling us what we can do on our own land outside of something truly offensive. Of course, that opens up the question of what is offensive.
