I know where you mean just don't ask me to spell it either. Georgia, North Carolina both have lots of gold. Virginia even and New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Vermont is rather strict, no dredging and you need a permit to use a sluice and I'm not sure they haven't cut that out too. Haven't panned up there for a while but hoping to this summer.
