If I listened to all the recommendations my former broker made I would have been broke long ago. As long as he was making a profit, I didn't matter even if the stock he thought was hot was tanking. I don't trust the financial analysts or the banks anymore, period. They all have their own agenda - their interests almost always come ahead of ours. Maybe that's why they are stuck in their same old jobs. For instance, many years ago I spoke with a CIBC advisor - he said in brief - I should dump all my blue chip stocks & buy only CIBC's mutual funds - right buddy!
