I tend to expect this with penny stocks. I don't like the term, but it's what we are at the present time.

Our avg vol is 3 mln, and we hit 5.2 mln on Tues. If you check daily vol on Yahoo! Finance (Historical Prices) there is a pattern of sorts that a "big" day is followed by 1-2-3 slow days. It is news driven as well.

Add to the numbers that these stocks have day traders that are thrilled to make $100 - $200 once or twice a week, and anything is possible vol/pps wise.
