U.S. Senate candidate in Kentucky backs CTL projects

Kentucky Attorney General and U.S. Senate Candidate Jack Conway (R) continued his statewide campaign tour this month, during which he touted the key role coal-to-liquid fuels should play in securing Kentucky's energy and economic future.

During a stop in Paintsville, Conway said if elected he will fight for coal in Washington.

"Rather than make this region feel like they ought to be defensive about the fact we contribute to lower electricity rates to go on the offense and say we ought to be investing more money on carbon sequestration technologies. We ought to be investing in coal to liquid technologies," Conway said.
