You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
I don't think they would let me pan at the Nolan but no harm in taking a pan along anyway. I'm sure they would not let me keep anything I found as it belongs to the company but it would be fun.
