silveradomanmi, if the definition of the number of shares shorted which you are posting is shares sold into the market (after borrowing them legally form some entity, with anticipation that the share price will drop later and thus you can buy them back from the market at a lower price and return the shares to the entity from whom you borrowed them and pocket the difference), it would seem with today's 10.4% increase, that the number of shares shorted will be quite low today, like 20%-30%, or less?

On the other hand, if the definition of the number of shares shorted which you are posting is shares bought from the market to cover the short, then today's shares shorted number could be high.

Or, could the numbers you post be the sum of both scenarios? Or something entirely different? Does the site from which you get the numbers define what the numbers actually mean?
