Ok, never been 100% clear on how the shorts make their money...other than the obvious that if the price goes down...they profit.
So looking at the number of shares shorted (3,088,113) and lets assume 1 person purchased these as 0.0032/ps. If the SP drops to 0 they would make a whopping $9,881...or is there something more in the formula to be gained from the shorts purchased yesterday? Now, I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet it was more than 1 person...so they are going to split ~$9,800? If one could paint sarcasm into text, I would at this point... a whopping $9800 when the potential for adding three to five zeros at the end of that figure is there. Can anyone enlighten me on the short selling aspect a little?
Another thing that I have been wondering over the past months, is regarding the infamous phrase of financing. We all see the reports, the facts, the pictures that back up what is in the ground, the potential of what could be...why does a bank not see this? Perhaps it is not so much proving to the bank what they have in the ground, but do they have someone lined up to purchase after it is mined. Understanding that Gary and his crew know what they are doing when it comes to mining, but have they been able to secure a buyer? They could dig up tons of gold, but without someone lined up to purchase it, it does not matter. Just a thought, because I can't figure out a reason why a bank would turn down the chance to be involved with this property. Any thoughts or opinions on this would be welcome.
