OT: Purpose of reporting violations

As a HUB develops over time, with long term and new members, and HL's appointed as we did each time by a public vote, a protocol of sorts is established. What may be acceptable in a post to some, may not be to others.
When a post gets flagged for a presumed violation, a second person (being a HL) must look at it, and make a decision as to whether or not it should be processed as a violation, and whether or not the post should be removed. Regardless of the decision made by a HL, Agora has final say so.
Reporting a violation must be a pure business decision, never emotional, and done only within the guidelines of Agora's terms of service. I am confident in the actions we take here to be fair and within the rules, to keep this forum the best on the web.
Receiving a violation is not meant to punish a poster, but to send a message of what is acceptable and what is not.
I felt a quick comment was in order.
