mainman, a drop in price quite simply means more selling pressure than buying pressure.

One can blame shorting all day, every day, but the fact is, people sell shares when they feel their money can be used more effectively elsewhere. That is their prerogative.

I'll call it "potentially shorting" when fantastic news comes out and the price drops on huge volume.

PS: I'm not selling a single share any time soon.
