Koala - you are really getting me nostalgic! We must also remember lost brothers. I lost a very talented surgeon brother who diagnosed his own non-smokers lung cancer on an X-Ray at 43 yrs of age. Only symptom was a stiff neck so he had a chest x-ray taken & was the 1st to read it - inoperable & hopeless - lung to neck to brain. Diagnosed Feb 13 - dead Aug 7 of same yr. Had been saving others & didn't know he was terminal! Left 4 kids - 2 with PHD's -are Associate Professors at large Canadian Universities - 1 has her Phd in Stress Management & could lecture to some on this board . One son has done extensive HIV research & his Assistant Dean of Medicine. Another brother is an M.D. in the States & is director of a hospital.

Wouldn't he be proud? Never saw them get married or their children either. Who said life was fair? Every day is a gift for all of his. Important to enjoy the simplicities of life. Somehow, I feel he knows!
