Education is at the heart & soul of any nation. Without proper opportunities for higher education, it will be impossible to compete on a global scale with other nations. It will be impossible for many to reach their full potentail & make a meaningful contribution to society. Federal & State governments should think twice before cutting education funding.

If they exercised any wisdom in this process they would cut all the bonuses on Wall St. -- especially those of companies like Goldman Sachs! Why should the little guy finance their nonsense instead of educating his children? Which has the higher priority? Feeding the greedy or feeding one's children intellectually?
