In the first 2 1/2 years of the Depression 3000 banks closed. I have not been able to find information on if that included bank branches. This disturbs me because if it does include branches, we are in serious, serious trouble. So far this year 89 banks have failed, but including branches, 3654 banks have failed. Have we seen in less than 1 year ( 8 months) what took over 2 1/2 years to accomplish in the (maybe) last Depression. Also note : these last 5 bank failures, including branches, are going to cost the FDIC over $400 million dollars. I read somewhere this past week that the FDIC is running out of money, "going broke". It estimated that they only had 4-5 billion $$$$dollars left. At almost 1/2 billion $$$ dollars a week, they should be out of money by the end of October. Then what ?????? Buy silver, buy gold, buy Silverado Gold !!
