may I say thank you too to those of you who have given to the innocent Orphan Children in South Africa . These monies raised for my Nov14 walk (21 1/2 miles or 34 km) - will help save lives over there. Within 6 -12 months the University of Western Ontario is supposed to come out with a vaccine against HIV - it likely will not be strong enough to combat the stronger strains of HIV in Africa but it is a wonderful start.

Yesterday I got my 500th pledge & am now closer to $38,000 pledged - that translates into just over $100/minute for about 6 hrs. I hope to end up with $40 - 50,000. In Africa $40,000 is about 300,000 South African Rand & this will provide food, medicine, clothes etc. 40% of the 96 children in the Orphan in the Mthatha Orphage over there have HIV thro' no fault of their own. We have so much while they have so little - however we are supplying them with lots of love, food, clothing, education etc. Thanks again for your compassionate giving.
