True story...

A friend of mine lost his Father a few weeks ago, and he has taken the lead of two Sons to help Mom sort out all that needs to be done legally. Mom called him yesterday, saying there were some metal boxes in Dad's walk-in closet that were too heavy to lift, they were stacked on top of each other, and she needed his help to see what was inside, move them etc, so that she could clean the closet out, donate what she could to the Goodwill etc.

My friend found 3 good size metal boxes with hinged lids, such as a tool box would have, and the 1st one contained 26 Lbs...I said POUNDS, of GOLD coins!!! The other two boxes contained a total of 70 Lbs, yes pounds, of Silver coins in every size from a nickle to a dollar. Most of the dollars were from the mid-late 1800's.

"Mom, did you know about this?" "Oh, he mentioned something years ago, but I forgot about it."

Nice find for a days work, eh?
