from my own experience when a pitcher has been throwing strikes most of the game and one goes over that appears to be out of the strike zone, he usually gets a called strike. If he has been struggling and throwing more balls than strikes, that same pitch he will not get the called strike , but a ball. Detroit has been sooooooooooohhhhh bad for sooooooooohhh long that any close controversial play, will not go their way. That just seems to be the way officiating works.
