Silver Fields Resources Inc. Receives Saskatchewan Coal Exploration Approval
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2009) - Silver Fields Resources Inc. ("Silver Fields") ("the Company") (TSX VENTURE:SF)(OTCBB:SFRSF)(FRANKFURT:RLQ) is pleased to announce the Company has received notification from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment that the project proposal for the Company's exploration program on the Old Channel Project located near Tobin Lake, has been approved.
The program has identified 17 potential drill sites on Coal Prospecting Permits held by Silver Fields and 15 potential drill sites on Coal Prospecting Permits held by North American Gem and optioned to Silver Fields and WestCan Uranium Corp. (see Stockwatch Feb 17, 2009).
Silver Fields will act as the operator for the project and company officials will be in Nipawin early in May to finalize drill contracts and begin mobilizing the necessary equipment and personnel. It is expected exploration and drilling could commence early in June, depending on weather and ground conditions.
