Skeena Resources Limited (TSX.V: SKE) Rupert Allan, President of Skeena Resources Limited, is pleased to announce that Steve M. Cook has agreed to join the Skeena board of directors, subject to regulatory approval. This is a further undertaking in the corporate re-organization previously announced on April 22, 2010. Mr. Cook will replace Lee Barker who did not stand for re-election at the most recent AGM. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Barker for his considerable contribution and support during challenging times over the past several years, and we wish him success on his current focus at Sparton Resources Inc.
Mr.Cook is a partner at Thorsteinssons LLP where he focuses on corporate and international tax planning and civil and criminal tax litigation. Mr. Cook received his B.Comm and LL.B. degrees from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982 and the Ontario Bar in 1992. Mr. Cook has lectured at the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia and in the M.B.A. programme offered by the Faculty of Commerce at U.B.C. He has presented numerous papers on tax-related matters for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and the Tax Foundation of Canada. He was formerly a director of Brett Resources Inc., a mineral exploration company, until its recent acquisition by Osisko Mining Corporation. His is also a former director and past President of the British Columbia Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
