Skyline Management Appointments Deploy Exploration Strategies
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Feb 23, 2011 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --
Skyline Gold Corporation's ("Skyline" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SK), Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") Patrick Soares is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr. James ("Jim") Sparling, P.Geo, MBA as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") and Mr. William ("Bill") Hay, B.A., Dipl.of T. as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Manager.

Mr. Sparling will be responsible for the operation of Skyline as well as overseeing the exploration and management of Skyline's activities in the Iskut Region of British Columbia, Canada, in particular the Bronson Slope porphyry deposit and Snip area high grade gold structures. Jim has a strong background in both gold and volcanogenic massive sulphide exploration. Prior to joining Skyline, Jim was Exploration Manager with Exploration Syndicate Inc., Hawthorne Gold Corp. and StrataGold Corporation. His most recent position was as Senior Exploration Geologist with Hudson Bay Exploration & Development. During his career, Jim has been associated with and contributed to the discovery, exploration, and development of several gold and base metal deposits in North America.
Jim is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (B.Sc., Geology, 1984) and Royal Roads University School of Business (MBA, 2003).
Mr. Hay will join Skyline as the GIS Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the management of the GIS and corporate databases. Prior to joining Skyline, Bill was GIS and Lands Manager for Canterra Minerals Corporation and the GIS Manager for Hawthorne Gold Corp., as well as GIS Manager, North America with StrataGold Corporation. In addition to overseeing all aspects of database management, for much of his career he has been responsible for large-scale programs where multi-company paper based datasets were merged into a single comprehensive digital database. Mr. Hay has also implemented and managed several aspects of QA/QC programs. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A. Geography, 1996) and earned a diploma in GIS from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2003.
