Hi maccuaig! Very well worded post.

With this reported as a violation by someone, I was waiting to see if it would be removed, but it's still here so I guess I'll respond.

I as well feel that the current share price has little if anything to do with the fundamentals of the company or management's competency. It's simply current market conditions and investors' sentiments - those being panic and fear. A daily look at the 52 week high and low lists for the tsx and tsx-v shows stocks across the board getting pummeled to new lows. Junior stocks, particularly resource cos., have been taking the brundt of this deterioration, but it's by no means limited to them.

What has management done to increase shareholder value - probably everything that you'd expect competent management to do for a well governed junior company. They've amassed a suite of quality base metal and gold properties, conducted systematic exploration of these properties and have uncannily delivered consistently encouraging results. As a shareholder of the co. for over 2 1/2 years, and as a geologist, I have yet to see any discouraging or negative results of any kind from any of the properties to date - Nash, Nepisiguit, Reserve Creek...and we await Fort Hope/Opikeigan and Now Costigan. All have consistently delivered promising assays. Unfortunately, the market seems to rarely respond - and in current conditions, it will unfortunately take spectacular results to garner any attention at all. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of jr. resource cos. out there vying for attention of investors, investors who really don't seem to give a rat's behind these days; investors who are in no way ready to speculate, but are only concerned with capital preservation. Whatever capital they may have left.

Last year, when the markets were much more receptive and interested in resource plays, SLAM did the dog and pony route. If you remember, they held their AGM in Toronto and did conferences/conventions in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and also two on the East Coast (NB and NFLD I believe). They also had the services of Bob Smylie as a pr rep (at $4000/mtn plus stock options) and then joined Agoracom. Oh, and thanks to mallgirl/bushwhacker, they were also mentioned on smallcaps on bnn to a national tv audience! Short of paying a newsletter to write favourable mention of the co. as other cos. transparently do is about the only thing they haven't resourced to.

Ya, it's frustrating as a shareholder to watch the co. at current levels, particularly when we all know that Nash Creek alone should garner a share price several multiples above the current sp, but I have to believe that eventually that price will be realized. It's just going to take longer than I had initially believed. Whew, that's it for now.

Have a great weekend!
