Hello All,
Been awhile for a bit, but check the boards everyday. Just really no reason to post. Not much is happening with Snowfield lately. We are all just waiting for results.
Spoke with Graham this morning and had a good talk with him. Our conversation was an honest conversation. He said that Snowfield was very optomistic before the last results were given. Just like the rest of us, we thought we had found "diamond in the rough!".
He said this time, they like to stay positive but have to look at it from both sides. They are tight on cash, and don't want to finalize anything with Mineralfields yet. They don't want to lock in at 15 cents when they can lock in higher when the results are back.
Of course he said the results might show that there are no diamonds and that will cause the price to most likely drop down and then they will sign something with Mineralfields at a lower price. They will get the cash, it is just at what SP they will get it at.
They don't see why they shouldn't see better results and are a little optimistic. May I say a little.
It is taking a long time to get the results because of the hemitite. We all know this and we just have to be patient. In the back of my mind I fear that the keep running the sample through because they aren't finding any diamonds and they just want to keep trying to see if there is any.
Bob thinks that the Debeers results won't be any different than the SRC results. Actually Debeers has a less "vigorous" way checking for diamonds so the likelyhood will be the results will be the same. They aren't counting on better results.
If the SRC retesting comes back showing no diamonds they will take the core samples they dug up and do caustic testing on that to see where the diamonds are and where they should dig.
Graham is really excited about Jennifer. She is doing some really good stuff and is constantly talking with SRC in regards to their sample. She said she has never seen so much hemitite before and the good thing about this is that our diamonds are clear.
Graham did say that there are right now only 3 operating diamond mines and a couple more starting up including Snap lake, all owned by Debeers. He said with all the billions of dollars spent on exploration having only 3 to 5 mines operating shows that the diamond business is a risky business and even though they are excited about what they have it is still not a guarantee.
I think, along with myself, that we were sitting on Gold urrrr... Diamonds. Before last results we all thought that we were going to be sitting on the beach the next day because Debeers was going to snatch us up and we would be set for life. We had a humbling experience and are now back to where we started.
Graham said this result will determine a lot. They are waiting for the results for 2 reasons, 1 for an operational point of view, they want to finalize the flow-through shares with Mineralfields and also where are they going to go next or where they are going to drill, 2 as a shareholder. They also want the price to go up.
As for Glass, was a basher, still as basher and always will be a basher. I do appreciate his questions, but for a person not interested in getting in, spends a lot of time here questioning the process. E-mailing never works, calling always works. Call them if you are a concerned shareholder. You are right Peterjr that it is good that he asks the questions are asked butThere is a 50/50 chance that he is absolutly right. There is a 50/50 chance that this mine is just another TAH and is absolutly useless. But the signs and science are showing a diamond mine, that is why Debeers is interested in it.
Debeers just doesn't want to spend all the money exploring it. They will let another company do all the work and then buy them out if it looks good.
Anyways, all the best.
