Well, at least we have a valid result from the bulk sample. It tells us that the top sill layer doesn't have diamonds, at least in this location. It would be interesting to compare the chemistry / diamond counts from just the top sill to the other layers. Even better to see the detailed chemistry from the bulk sample. Does it have the green garnets, CrO2, that is consistant with diamonds? So much still to learn.

Glass, why are you so sure that the 70 kg of core does not account for the split of the kimberlite-only core sections for the holes? Do you know the density/core dia/kimberlite length? Have you talked to the company? After you do, how about you share your calculations with us, so we can be justly as concerned as you are.

I must say, I am sad and disappointed. All that potential will have to wait for another day.
