Glass,

My feeling is that the bulk of the Mud Lake deposit will be found to have less hematite in it, especially in the deeper sections that are not in close proximity to the granite cap and/or where there has been little or no water ingress. If my hunch is correct, the kimberlite bulk sample cannot be regarded as representative, even in terms of its level of alteration, let alone the diamond content.
