Message: BGI's Position

CREEKER; remember this is just BGI's "opinion" which they stated in the affadavit by Ewen Denning, Vice President Commercial of BG Trinidad and Tobago. My question is, is this British Gas' professional "opinion" or is it a bargaining position or are they one in the same here? It is pretty convenient now for British Gas, the plaintiff to go to court and state that the Victory and Bounty wells are non-commercial in their submissions and to have a Receiver appointed by the Alberta Court making BG the operator of Block 5(C). British Gas is a 36 billion pound corporation and they can obviously afford to hire the best lawyers in the world. But how would this claim by British Gas hold up under cross examination in court? This is merely their "opinion".

Canadian Superior and Challenger Energy released the results of the flow tests on the Endeavour well and the Bounty well to the press months ago, without a word from British Gas at the time to state the news was untrue. It seems pretty convenient now that British Gas is claiming that the wells are uncommercial unless the final testing on Endeavour proves that there is a gas pool stretching from the Endeavour well to the Bounty well. Is this just British Gas preparing to have Canadian Superior Energy declared in default of the original JOA by the Alberta Court so that British Gas can walk off with 100% of Block 5(C) after merely paying off the final bills for the flow testing on the Endeavour well and any outstanding debt? I hope not. If so there could be an interesting class action lawsuit launched against British Gas on the grounds that they were complicit in the press releases that were released by their partner Canadian Superior Energy, for British Gas clearly new that their partner's original press releases were false yet they let Canadian Superior Energy release the information and they were silent. Ewen Denning's affadavit would be seen by the court as clearly admitting this complicity. It will be interesting to see if there is any truth in British Gas' "opinion" .

Best Wishes; Scott
