Hi there my old friend Snuggs.
if you do not want to learn from history then life itself is not worth living ...how's that for a quote from danny.
and if you don't like history lessons, why are you quoting a man from history.... henry ford's quote by the way is taken out of context.... henry ford was sucessful because he knew his history and learned from it.
and now to the present and on to the future ....but this is impossible without a past... hows that for another quote from danny... ( i don't need to henry quote henry ford.)
i know the history of SPQ ....because i lived it :))
laslty it's not history, it's the present and it's still unfolding ...i am contributing my knowledge and expeariences of only the last 10 years, and particullarly the last 2 or three years.... you call that histroy??
how about the last AGM i attended and passed on much of the discontent from conributors here at Agoracom and other investors as well.... regarding directors who do not own shares.
the post below is from you complaining of directors not owning shares: is that hisory too? the graphics showing your arrows of suggested voting against, are somehow gone... it's unfortunate because it's helpful to those who have not voted proxy in the past... so this is a lesson from you that took place in our history of only a few months back, and your lesson is based on the history as we knew it at the time, particularly of those directors who had a history of not owning any shares...
you do agree, the most important thing about investing is the history of behaviour and performance of management... any prudent investor would agree, especially warren buffet... the consideration of history for him, before he invests has made him the most successful business man of all time ...including henry ford:)
and at the AGM very thoughtfully and politely i passed on the concerns of fellow investors here at agoracom like you and was called "silly" by our president (...but in this case, i agree, that's history too:))
i have no resentment, no hard feelings my freind... i had already re-arranged my portfolio so that helps a great deal:)) ...and made sure to put the proper emphisis on those companies in the ROF which give the best value and percentage ownership.
i have helped a lot of people understand the real ownership of our claims and what has been going on with SPQ ...it's a deep understanding of the present ...it's not history
anyways, it's time for beera smokeless joes maybe.
to bad you are not here, i would like to discuss more with you over a good stout.
cheers to all ....danny
This afternoon/evening I logged into www.voteproxyonline.com and was successful in voting my shares. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to contact me.
On pages 12-13 of the Notice of Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders, you will find a table listing Spider Resources' directors. In the fourth column of the table you will find the Number of Common Shares owned by each director.
Two directors have no ownership in Spider Resources - zilch. Among a number of attendees at last year's AGM we discussed that NO OWNERSHIP = NO DIRECTORSHIP. So I suggest (as does Yellowknifer and other shareholders) that if you are a shareholder, you WITHHOLD your vote for these two men.
Secondly, the last resolution is the vote to approve the Shareholder's Rights Plan. I suggest that you vote FOR this plan.
Below I have two screen captures which should guide you in your voting.
