I to don't have a smart phone and probably will never own one...I work for a phone company that supplies voice and non-voice lines, internet, cell and VDSL & ADSL TV all over fibre and copper and only have a pay as you go cell that cost me 10 bucks a month and only have a voice line because I work for the company...I have been working for the same company for 40 years now and have seen a lot of advancement and spent the last 15 years changing the equipment in our central offices about 6 times now...copper wire lines were suppose to die out more than 40 years ago but the suppliers keep coming up with equipment that can put out over copper...VDSL can put out 100 meg. over copper up to 600 and 8oo meters of good copper...we put small remotes out from the main offices fed by fibre and then on copper to the house as well as fibre from the main office to the house...our HD only requires around 9 meg and standard def. around 3 meg. of bandwidth...I hear alcatel is doing 300 meg. in the labs over copper...everyone thinks we all need faster than lightning speed....we are raising our kids to be walking zombies...they walk down the street side by side with their heads bent down texting each other and can no longer talk to each other...our managers don't want us to talk to them but want us to email them or text them...if this is what people want then I'll try to make some money off them on stocks like this...so I say go for it people so I can make a pile of money and get away from the zombies out there. :>)))
