Mr. Moran posting his resume on Misco jobs!

Project Director of Engineering –Ferguson Lake Project (massive sulfide deposit-Nickel, Copper and Cobalt), plus PGE and Diamonds

With more than 24 years of experience in the mining industry in the development of projects and operations. Most recently appointed (2007- present) the Project Director of Engineering and Projects for Starfield Resources Inc. for the Ferguson Lake Project (C$1.4 billion) located in NT, Canada. Prior to the Starfield assignment Mr. Moran was the Project Director for the EMag Magnesium Smelter Project (US$1.3 billion) located in Cairo, Egypt for two years. The project had to be closed down, because of the inability of EMag's upper management to secure funding in April 2007. Mr. Moran joined Rio Algom Ltd. in 1997-2003 as the project director for the Antamina "Zinc and Copper" project (USD2.3 billion) located in Northern Peru at an elevation of 4,300 meters above sea level, where the project was successful completed four months ahead of schedule. Prior to the Antamina project he held the position of Vice President of Engineering Services and Major Project of the Newmont Mining Corporation located in Denver, Colorado (USA), where he was responsible for the successful development of Batu Hijau "Copper and Gold" project (USD1.8 billion) located on the Island of Sumbawa, Indonesia, along with several other domestic and international projects in the USA, Indonesia, Peru, Uzbekistan. Mr. Moran's mining career commenced with him joining Utah/BHP Minerals International in 1982 and spent fifteen (15) years developing major projects around the world like the initial Escondida "Copper" project (USD 1 billion) in Northern Chile, which today rates as the single largest copper producer. Plus the Nelson Point Development project (AUD325 million) for BHP Iron Ore located at Port Hedland, WA Australia and the PT Arutmin "Surface Coal mine" project located in SE Kalminatan, Indonesia.

His primary duties as the Project Director for the Ferguson Lake project was to successfully plan and execute the scoping study in February 2008 and then commence the PFS for the project in the 3rd quarter of 2008. These set of deliverables were achieved on schedule and under budget, which now puts the project in a difficult position, given the difficulty of finding the necessary funding to move the project forward.
