I learned at a recent conference in Brazil, that company SMS Siemag Process Technologies of Austria has developed and - to my understanding - filed patents for a continuous process for iron control in metal-chloride-solutions.

They have a batch type pilot plant and a continuous laboratory plant, both successfully demonstrating oxidation, hydrolysis and heat recuperation. Photographs and operating data of both plants were presented at the conference.
