Message: CEF / GTU - big difference in premium?

Thanks appreciate your thoughts! I hate to ask Peter any thing specific as he has done so much for us and I don't want to bother him.

Possibly he chose GLD because GTU like CEF is a closed fund so trades most times at a premium to net asset value whereas GLD is an ETF without that premium. Also frankly I have noticed that there seems to be more movement in GLD so it well could be a better investment. Right now I priced myself out of GLD by selling and locking in a profit albeit not at the current price (alas!). The analysis I was doing dealt more with CEF and GTU (since they are both similar vehicles - closed funds) since CEF is trading at such a higher premium (8%) than GTU (4%) but GTU is all gold whereas CEF is split 60/40 with silver the latter which has not moved like gold. That is the thing that really puzzles me - why the premium difference- which makes me think that GTU is a better investment for me. (disclosure - i do hold CEF too)
