LONDON (MarketWatch) -- International Royalty Corp. /quotes/comstock/14*!roy/quotes/nls/roy (ROY 4.45, -0.08, -1.77%) /quotes/comstock/11t!irc (CA:IRC 4.71, -0.09, -1.88%) said Monday that its has been informed of the intention of Franco-Nevada Corp. /quotes/comstock/11t!fnv (CA:FNV 28.17, -1.01, -3.46%) to offer C$6.75 a share in cash for all of IRC's outstanding common shares. IRC said its board of directors will be meeting with its legal and financial advisers to consider an appropriate response and will make a further announcement to shareholders in due course. IRC is a global mineral royalties company. IRC shares closed Friday at C$4.71.
