Message: Interesting Article

It is an interesting article, but there is another possibility. The US dollar appears to be on the brink of some sort of rally, but will that really hurt the stock market? The long-standing inverse relationship of the US dollar and the stock market appears to be breaking down. On Friday we had a huge gain in the dollar and the market actually went up. The Japanese Yen sank the same day. I heard some currency anaylist say the carry trade was moving back to Japan. If that's the case, then we need not worry about a US dollar rally tanking the markets. It will, however, put a lid on gold.

So if the dollar rallies, gold will go into consolidation mode, but the overall market may still rally at least into the new year. I suspect there will be a minor pullback in late Jan/Feb, and then one last run into the spring.
