Chris, you are Canadian aren't you? I opened an account at Royal Bank of Canada....tough to do but I perservered. The cash is sitting there will little to no interest but I did it for two reasons (1) the bank is much stronger than those here in the states and (2) looking for some appreciation in the Canadian dollar. When you talk about credit unions do they have those in Canada too? (sorry if this is a dumb question)
