Rubicon Minerals (RMX-T, RBY-Amx;
$5.11 on T) continues to deliver strong results
from the Phoenix gold project in Red
Lake, and to be rewarded in the market for
doing so. RMX has now crossed through the
billion dollar valuation mark, but importantly
this includes a cash position of well over
$100 million (in either C or US $). As strong
as the results have been at Phoenix there
will still need to be a considerable effort before
RMX can put a large enough resource on
the table here to have caught up with its
valuation growth. Red Lake is a camp were
more than one exploration effort has grown a
deposit to this scale, so for the moment we
are good to watch and cheer on the progress.
