chris i dont think confiscation will ever materialize in the states. of course im not the best evaluator but i was chatting with my dad about it and simply put there are far to many americans with guns at this point. The american people (from what i have heard as a canadian) carry fire arms so that the government can never have full control.

Bottom line. if the government comes to your door and say you have 10% of your portfolio in bullion. Is the american population going to roll over and take that hair cut for no reason? especially when that asset has been their best performing one while the government put the economy in the garbage can. i would argue not.

but thats my take. certainly enjoy feedback if you have a counter argument.
