has had very good results in a new area. May be a new natural gas play.

Cue the Saints.

Questerre reports that its St. Edouard No. 1A horizontal well in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Quebec well was

successfully completed with eight stage fracture stimulations. Clean-up and flow-back commenced January 29, 2010. Initial

rates were over 12 MMcf/d. During the test, the well flowed natural gas at an average rate of over 6 MMcf/d. The well is

currently still flowing on an extended production test. The current rate is approximately 5 MMcf/d at a flowing tubing pressure

of 4,412 kPa (640 psi) with a choke size of 5/8 inch. During the completion, microseismic data was gathered using the St.

Edouard No. 1 vertical well as a monitoring well. Preliminary analysis indicates the fracs were successful in stimulating

sufficient rock volume in the entire Utica sequence. Questerre and Talisman, the operator and holds a 75% working interest, are

evaluating pipeline options to tie-in the St. Edouard location. According to Credit Suisse, Talisman is still assessing the

potential contingent resources for its Quebec acreage as the company is one well into a four well horizontal program and

generally believes it is too early to make broad conclusions about the play. Talisman will likely be able to make more informed

commentary in the middle of 2010, once the four well program has been completed. Talisman is also hosting an Investor Day in

May. At least two brokerages chimed in on the results, increasing their price targets on Questerre stock, saying the results were

better than their expectations. However, one analyst did caution that this was the only long-reach horizontal well tested in the

Utica play to date, and that decline rates cannot be determined and long-term well costs were still subjective. Other junior

players active in the Utica, jumping on Questerre's results, include:

Junex (JNX), Gastem (GMR), Altai Resources (ATI)

and

Canadian Quantum (CQM)
