Up first this morning is Network Engines Inc., (NENG) http://www.nei.com/ currently trading in the $2.19 range on a 3-Month average daily trading volume of 252,852 shares. NENG was trading a year ago in the $0.50 range and throughout 09 kept a very steady track upward to its current price. NENG had a few very small dips and spikes during 09 and appears to be starting March 2010 headed for $3. I’m impressed by the long-term climb NENG has made with little deviation from its monthly trend. NENG has a 52-week high of $2.26 set on 03-09-10 with trailing twelve month revenues of $155+ million. NENG is a long-term (1-Yr) ‘Buy’ consideration for me.

Last week, NENG received a Microsoft renewal of the Company’s status as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in recognition of its competencies in Server Platforms, ISV/Software Solutions and Security Solutions. NEI has been a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner since 2005. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies.

In Jan NENG reported Q1 2010 net revenues were $43.9 million, at the high end of the Company's guidance of $39 to $44 million and an increase of 8% vs. compared to Q4 09 of $40.7 million and 18% vs. the $37.2 million for Q1 09. The increase both sequentially and y-o-y was due to increased volume from certain customers and the initial contribution from two significant design wins in fiscal 2009. Net income on a GAAP basis was $139,000, or $0.00 per share.
