I emailed a friend with whom I worked with in a coal mine back a few years ago and he now is working in Western Coal. Here is part of his email.

I am working for Western Coal, they have a few properties around and they are an independent company and seem to be doing quite well. Some of the guys say their stocks went up a fair bit already. WC is spending millions on new euipment this year.new 793's,new 10T's,Letourneou loader,4100 PH and 5500 Hitachi shovel and a few other smaller pieces.
