molycorp is privately held. When they IPO then we will know the rare earth market will have some traction and visability. a year ago there was a letter of intent to acquire Great Western Minerals ( during the melt down, great Western needed some cash) . that fell through. Both of these companies have a mine to mill strategy. Great western has an old mine in Africa that they are trying to restart.

avalon seems to have some good deposits in Canada. Lots of companies claiming rare earth deposits. Check out rare metal blog.com,
