The last 3 weeks have been a bit unusual. Parts of the market were in a nice, sideways consolidation / correction (TSX, NYA, Russell 2000, gold, big cap PM stocks), other parts just kept trending higher (Venture stocks, small cap PM stocks, tech stocks, transports).
The election and the fed are out of the way, now it's just the jobs report on Friday that could roil the markets. If the market reacts badly to the report, we may get a down week - market is overbought, so that would not be unusual. However, I really like the way the market reacted to the election and the fed. If Friday's market action is OK, then the consolidation /correction could end quickly.
Either way, it looks to me like the market is setting up for a nice year end rally. Best sectors should be techs & small cap mining stocks (base metal & PMs).
