Winstons Growth Stock Report Your Source for High Potential Stocks Issue 47, November 17, 2010 Ventana Gold (VEN, TSXV) Ventana jumped nearly 40% today as the company acknowledged an unsolicited bid by EBX Group, its largest stakeholder, for all issued and outstanding shares of Ventana at a price of $12.63 per share. EBX is a Brazilian investment fund owned by Eike Batista who Forbes magazine has dubbed the eighth richest man in the world. Ventana has stated that The Board of Ventana has commenced the process of engaging advisors to assist it in responding to this bid. The Board will make every effort to maximize value for the benefit of Ventana's shareholders and will update its shareholders from time to time as this development progresses. Shareholders do not need to take any action in response to this bid at this time. Lets keep holding and see where this leads. Congratulations to all of you who profited from this winner! New Gold (NGD, TSXC/AMEX) New Gold is a great example in picking companies which have all the attributes of becoming a successful trade. Investors should always take into consideration management, financial backing and the prospectivity of the projects. New Gold has always had the right ingredients to become a success story and, after some trials and tribulations that is finally happening. Further to last weeks Q3 results, more good news has come out this week regarding the Cerro San Pedro Mine's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). As you may recall, New Gold has been fighting in Mexican court over what many believe is a bogus environmental complaint from some anti-mining people who live around the San Pedro Mine. Though New Gold lost an appeal in a lower court, a higher court has overruled. The details have not been revealed and there may be some conditions attached to the ruling that we are not aware of. However this should be positive for New Golds share price as the Cerro San Pedro Mine has been shut down since it lost the first appeal. Regardless, New Gold share price has gone from $1.26 23 months ago to $8.83 today. We are holding for future growth with New Gold as advancement of the New Afton mine construction is moving forward, the El Morro mine revised its feasibility study and the consensus is for continued strong operating results in Q4. Endeavour Mining (EDV,TSX) ENDEAVOUR MINING REPORTS INCREASED GOLD PRODUCTION, AND NET INCOME OF US$7.6 MILLION FOR QUARTER ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2010 Endeavour is another example of betting on the right horse and jockey to ride out a winner over the long term. And the ultimate goal for Endeavour is to become a 1 million ounce gold producer. The company reported net income of US$7.6 million or US$0.08 per share for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. As a result of the purchase of Etruscan Resources on September 10, 2010, the results include 20 production days at the Youga Gold Mine in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Operational Highlights (for the full quarter ended September 30, 2010) · 236,023 tonnes of ore mined at an average grade of 3.07 g/t · Cash and equivalents of US$187.8 million, securities of US$34.9 million · Gold production of 23,173 ounces, up 21% from 19,220 ounces in the same period in 2009 · Gold sales of 24,004 ounces, up 30% from 18,520 ounces in the same period in 2009 · 16,024 ounces were sold at an average price of US$1,215 per ounce and 7,980 ounces were delivered into the $700 per ounce hedge · Total cash cost of US$598 per gold ounce sold, down 23% from US$783 per ounce in the same period of 2009 · Operating cash flow from mine operations of US$10.5 million · For the 20-day operating period included in the Corporation's results: · Gold production of 5,940 ounces · Gold sales of 5,434 ounces · Operating cash flow from mine operations of US$1.1 million Its been quite a year for Endeavour so far. The acquisition of Etruscan Resources (90%) set the company up for an annualized gold production of 80,000 ounces plus more upside growth potential. Their other major investment coup was their 43% acquisition of Crew Gold which they sold, or flipped to put it more succinctly, to Crews other major shareholder, Severstal Gold. This deal netted Endeavour a US$80.5 million return on their US$134.5 million investment. Like I say, a good year. But when Endeavour says theyll be a million ounce producer you can back on that.
