Wolfster, that's pretty much it. I've stopped buying high flyers altogether and am restricting my buying to tax loss candidates - to be sold in January (hopefully after for a quick pop). Today is the last day for Canadian stocks. Next week I'll be buying US tax loss candidates.
I will be selling as much as possible early in the new year - I want to be heavily in cash ASAP. With the small cap stocks I own, liquidity can dry up fast when things turn down, so I prefer to sell into strength. Although I think we will have another run into May-June, I'm concerned about a quick drop in January.
It has been a great year for me too, and I hope for everyone else on the board.
Best wishes to all here!
