Well, I think we're just in a correction, but I don't like being fully invested during corrections, so I sell into strength whenever it shows up. I've sold most of the stuff that I bought last week during the mini-panic. Did very nicely selling puts as well. Everything except GDX and XLB expired worthless, and they popped up yesterday, so I made money on the option premiums and the stocks as well - so no complaints.
I think we're nearing the end of the B wave of an ABC correction, so another leg down could be coming. Even if the markets grind higher instead, I'll continue to raise cash until the Venture regains its mojo - that could be several months away. Without the "risk on" Venture trade, I like having a large chunk of cash. Cash is my method of portfolio protection with the added benefit of being able to take advantage of opportunities that pop up from time to time.
