Susan - Don't know anything about Glencore, but I do know that Brazil does not make ethanol from corn - they use sugar cane, which is far more efficient. They've had to import some corn-based ethanol from the US recently. The price of sugar for food went up, so sugar was diverted from ethanol production. The importing of US ethanol is probably temporary, but it does show the struggle for crops between food & energy is real.

It makes for a good investment theme, but it demonstrates that people around the world might wind up starving so we can drive around in large SUVs.....
