Wasn't unexpected, considering his last public appearance, but still very sad. I knew him from a committee he chaired many years ago when he was a city councillor. I had some differences of opinion with him, yet he was always respectful, willing to have an honest discussion, and was able to accept facts that did not fit his theories. Not many people can do this - they stick to their beliefs regardless of the facts. I wish more politicians were like Jack. I will miss him.
